Results from the team competition were:-
Team H - 98 points
Team E - 93 points
Team B and Team F - 87 points
Team A - 85 points
Team C - 84 points
The winning team members all took home a fiver - they were Geoff, Alex, Don and Nigel in Team D and Robin, Bob, Malcolm and Colin in Team G.
Kelvin returned to form with a nice 40 points to win £6 for best stapleford, whilst nearest the pin in 2 on hole 7 was won by old dead-eye himself, the Hickmeister.
Some movement on the leaderboards this week. After what was rather charitably described by one of his playing colleagues as "a bad day at the office" Gus took a precipitous tumble down the rankings to leave Ali top in RED. On the BLUE leaderboard Geoff stays top, even increasing his own average, but Robin's great score of 40 points sees him close the gap considerably.
Hall Trophy
A few results to report since the last update. The Sommelier beat Sameer but it took an extra play-off hole to do it. The competition namesake Alex is also out, putting up a good fight but eventually succumbing 3&2 to Andy Wray. The Boss is also out, narrowly beaten by Mike, and finally Jeff Titman beat Trevor Hones in another tight match.
Preferred Lies
Owing to the slower than expected recovery of the fairways, the club has declared that preferred lies will remain in force for the whole of the month of May.
I will be living life on the ocean wave for the next 2 weeks and will update the averages and leaderboard once I'm back. Weekly scores will continue to be posted.
