Results - Regular Swindle and Awayday

A busy week this week, with two events to report on.

Firstly though, a shout-out for the HALL TROPHY. Alex needs a few more players to get to 32 and avoid byes in the first round. So if you haven't already entered, please get your name down HERE.

Alex's rules blog for March has also been added, so have a look top right. This month Alex covers relief on paths.

Wednesday Swindle March 19th

An excellent gross 87 netted PBI 38 points to take the win and £23. A 2-shot cut takes him to a swindle handicap of 15. That's grown up territory; well done Pete!

Tom Walters scored his best round this season with 37 points for £12 and 2nd place and Ali was 3rd for £8 with 36 points.

The Sommelier took the front nine honours with 20 points, and Peter "Mick" the Miller the back nine with 19. A fiver each, well done chaps.

Awayday in Welwyn March 20th

18 swindlers took to the field on Thursday for a team competition at Welwyn. Fuelled by bacon sarnies and only the second appearance of the season (motorised) for Alex, teams of 3 battled it out. Top of the pile were the Bionic Man Kelvin, the Hickmeister Eugene and Mr Consistent himself Stuart Insall. Their team scored 84 points with the other teams coming in behind with 81, 74, 73, 72 and 68 points. The winners took home £14 each. Alex won £6 for the best stapleford with 37 points (who needs practice anyway!) and Chris "Mister" Manners £6 for nearest the pin.

Leaderboards

These are starting to settle down now, with some players having made as many as 10 appearances by now. Less than stellar rounds by the leaders in RED saw their pursuers close the gap whilst in BLUE Dom has been toppled with the new leader being Geoff Tithecot. The Sommelier, Dave Reynolds, climbs to 3rd in the rankings.
