Results from the Away Day at Chalgrave Manor Wed 1st May

27 players took advantage of a short notice booking at Chalgrave Manor with the Clutch Tour being played at APGC. The course proved challenging that dented a few averages along the way (Ave score for all players 27.3 some 6 shots lower than recent rounds at APGC). The sun came out to greet us as did Andy Wyatt's legs that spurred him onto the best round of the day with 36pts (£5).

Nearest the pin on the 10th hole over the lake proved too difficult for most but credit to Tony Coomber, one of the very few who stayed on the sloping green (£5).

There was a delayed announcement for the winning team after some dodgy scoring on one card. The team that triumphed (94pts) owed in particular solid rounds from Dave Robson (33pts) and Stuart Insall (31pts)  who carried their playing partners - incognito DS & MC, but all received £11 for their troubles - well done!
Overall it proved to be a good value venue that will be worth revisiting when the course dries out somewhat. Scenery nice, Geese proved difficult to hit!
