On an energy sapping, baking hot and humid day the fifth iteration of the popular Andlaw Trophy (aka Ryder Cup) was played. Some regretted signing up for 27 holes but soldiered on nonetheless ! The result, as in previous years, was quite close but Team Maserati edged the morning’s pairs by 4 to 3 and the afternoon singles by 9 to 7 to win the trophy 
. Ros Andlaw again came along at lunchtime with her sister Sue (who had flown in from Cape Town) and stayed to make the presentation.
In the unpublicised sister event at Abbey Hill, Milton Keynes, Rory took the honours in a field of one.
The amount raised for charity was £196 (£150 last year) so it’s a great effort from everyone. It has been decided to share the amount between Pancreatic Cancer research ( remembering friends Robert, Tony Hurst and Paul Wright) and the Club's nominated charity.
