Results from 19th October

Joint Winners: Eugene and Chris Butler, 35 points, £17.50 each.  The new handicapping policy of permanent in-year  cuts is really biting now with scores dropping significantly throughout the field.

Joint 3rd: Andrew Loizides and Geoff Tithecott, 33 points and £3.50 each.

Front 9: Ian Thonger, 19 points, £5
Back 9: Dave Smith, 17 points, £5

LEADERBOARD NEWS

Leaderboard pressure is clearly kicking in, especially in RED group.  Uncharacteristically poor rounds from leaders Chris Manners and Tom Walters have allowed Eugene to close right up with them.

In case anyone is still unclear about RED and BLUE groups, you are placed in one or the other depending on your start year handicaps. RED group contains the lower handicap players, the break point varies a little each year in order to balance the groups.  The best 3 averages across the year in each group at the point of the Christmas meal win cash prizes. You must normally play at least 4 rounds per quarter to qualify.    You can check your current points average HERE

Stop press: I've just been informed that John Cullen is the first finalist in the Singles Knockout having beaten David Reynolds.
