In the knockout competition two results are just in off the teleprinter. Dom Johnson beat Trevor Hones and Paul Loveland beat Eugene Hickey. Both matches went to a 19th hole decider. Things are moving fairly slowly so a reminder that the first named in each pairing has the responsibility to initiate contact and suggest tee times. The Boss wishes to remind everyone that we will be off WHITE TEES on 1st July and until further notice. I would add that it is preferred lies in bunkers (only), and that the ball must remain in the cup to be considered as holed. Hitting the flagstick is no longer good enough. Shame, but that's the club rule I believe.
Finally, as lockdown is eased, there will be relief from within the waters of the local lakes as fishermen return to golf. Here is a 10lb barbel proudly displayed by Alex. He also claims to have caught it.
