PARISH NOTICES
Xmas Dinner and Prize Giving. This year it will be held at the Harpenden Arms in the town centre on Wednesday 4th December at 7pm for 7.30 start. We've reserved their Orangery which is a semi private room that can accommodate around 25 people or maybe slightly more. Sameer has already paid a deposit of £150 to secure it and to make things simple he will claim back the deposit on the night.

HALL TROPHY SINGLES KNOCKOUT RESULT
Congratulations to John 'Skipper' Harris who pipped Trevor Pyne on the 19th after Trevor was dormy 2. Again it was a display of great putting at the end, including from off the green at the 18th, which secured the trophy for John. Bad luck Trevor, ever so close. What a great addition this competition has been to the Swindle, so many close finishes !
Finally, a couple of pics from the last few weeks. The first shows an unusual vertical water hazard (known as a 'waterfall' to non golfers) in Canada. The second shows The Boss and dubious looking cronies in his back garden.
