Our
annual club Charity Day is nearly upon us and this year we want to raise as much
money as possible for Rennie Grove Hospice Care. It is the main focus of our
fund- raising activities and the day is open to all members of the Park
Course. The Charity Cup is an Honours Board trophy, an individual
stableford competition won last year by Geoff Benson. There are a host of
other on-course prizes provided by our generous local sponsors. This
year there will be:
- A goody bag for all golfers and on-course prizes from our event sponsor,
Savills
- 18 holes of golf in the morning
- On-course competitions, including Beat the Pro' on the 7th and an ‘Old
Equipment Challenge’ on the 10th
- A two course lunch for all golfers, followed by a few words from either
Nicola or Gemma from Rennie Grove
- An auction and raffle draw (top prizes only) held during coffee by Pat
O’Higgins
So how can you help?
- Sign up for the golf - it will be on the PSI until
22th June
- Donate a prize for the auction or raffle. We have a good
number already, but please let me know if you can donate something too
- Help on the day – I am grateful to a number of you who have
already offered to help out, but I could do with a couple more volunteers from
anyone who is not intending to play, to assist me with activities like sorting
out the raffle in the clubhouse. Again, please let me know if you would like to
help.
This
is always a great day and I hope you will get involved.
