The much-anticipated rain didn't arrive, until the Boss called it in by declaring that we were fine to stay sitting outside for the presentation of the prizes. At which point we retired rapidly indoors.
A supremely cunning scoring system meant that Amen Corner was even more critical than usual, and there was a premium on all team members getting a score on the 18th. Team scores ranged from 92 (not very good) through 100 (competitive, but never going to win) to the winning score, by a decent margin, of 107. The winning team (£11.50 each) comprised Dave Clarke (41 points), Stuart and the Brynmeister (39 points each) and Kim (somewhat fewer). Well done to them.
Mark Whittington was nearest the pin for £6, and the Bionic Man continued his recent charge with another 41 point score, taking him to the top of the BLUE leaderboard. Last seen trying to find his horse in the car park.
A brief mention in despatches for Chris Manners, who returned to form in spectactular fashion by playing the front 9 holes in 2 under par. That's a NET 2 under par, for anyone wondering. Majestic golf!
