RYDER CUP COMES (NEARLY) HOME

As John Cullen  briefed on Wednesday he has had an idea (it happens sometimes) about staging a Ryder Cup format day for the Swindle. As it’s going to be the team event it will be played on Wednesday 29th August at Aldwickbury.

The forrmat will be 9 holes greensomes (alternate shots) then 18 holes of match play, with a break for people to have a drink/lunch between the two. An 11 am tee off for the 9 holes is proposed and then 1.30/2 for the 18.A trophy will be presented to the winning team (photo attached) and we need a name for it. All suggestions welcome. The  £2 entry fee will be donated to the captains charity. JC will captain one team and The Boss  the other, winning team.  To represent Europe and US of A we might use North v South depending on where you were born, so  please input this on the inevitable entry form I have produced.  Any dubious claims will be accent tested by John Harris and Vic Busani. There is a entry criteria which is that you must have played a  minimum of 8 times in the Swindle in 2018 prior to the competition. Any Appeals to JC, his decision is FINAL if oversubscribed.

The Trophy donated by JC. A bad lie snapped the shaft.
He hasn't changed a bit !
